The You Ji VLS Series brings heavy-duty vertical turning capacity to shops machining large-diameter, heavy workpieces — the rings, housings, and flanged components common to aerospace, energy, oil and gas, marine, and heavy equipment manufacturing. Built on Meehanite cast iron construction with box ways throughout, the VLS delivers the rigidity and vibration dampening that long, heavy cutting cycles demand, protecting both accuracy and tool life.

The vertical column and cross rail are engineered to resist radial and axial cutting forces alike, holding precision across the full machining envelope. High-torque spindle motors sustain heavy roughing and deep cuts at low spindle speeds, making the VLS well suited to hard metals and high-volume stock removal.

Configuration flexibility is a defining strength of the platform. The series is available in single or twin ram head designs, with automatic tool changers in turret or magazine styles. An optional C-axis with live tooling consolidates milling, drilling, and tapping into the same setup as your turning operations.
