Johnford SV-40 vertical machining center

The Johnford 40-taper SV and VMC Super Series vertical machining centers combine rigid box-way construction with a geared-head C-frame design for accurate, reliable machining. Across 13 machine configurations, heavily ribbed Meehanite cast-iron construction helps minimize vibration, improve surface finishes, and extend cutting tool life.

Oversized box ways, precision ballscrews, and a rigid spindle and headstock design provide stable positioning, accuracy, and repeatability throughout demanding machining operations. A range of spindle configurations is available to meet varying speed and production requirements.

Standard features include a 24-tool automatic tool changer, rigid tapping, spindle oil cooler, full machine enclosure, and flood coolant system. Available probing, tool setting, 4th- and 5th-axis, pallet changing, and expanded tool capacity options allow the machines to be tailored to specific manufacturing needs.
