A busbar punching machine is used to punch precisely positioned holes, cut busbars to length, and emboss copper or aluminium busbars used in switchgear panels, transformers, power distribution units, and electrical control panels. The JFY MP50 Series can punch copper busbars up to 15 mm thick and steel busbars up to 10 mm thick, with a maximum punching diameter of 35 mm for copper bars. This makes it suitable for medium to heavy copper busbar fabrication used in MV switchgear and large power distribution applications.

The MP50 delivers pitching accuracy of ±(0.1 + L/4000) mm — equivalent to ±0.2 mm for workpiece lengths under 400 mm. This is achieved through a 3-axis servo motor CNC system with automatic electronic compensation, ensuring reliable repeatability across high-volume production runs.

A dedicated busbar punching machine like the JFY MP50 is optimised specifically for punching, cutting, and embossing operations on long busbars (up to 6,000 mm) with high force (500 kN) and multi-station tooling. A 3-in-1 busbar machine combines punching, cutting, and bending in a single compact unit — better suited for smaller shops or mixed-volume production. For large-scale or high-precision busbar fabrication, a dedicated punching machine plus a separate bending machine (such as the JFY MB40) is the preferred configuration.
