Busbar bending machine

JFY MB40 Series CNC Busbar Bending Machine

400 kN servo-driven busbar bending machine with ±0.2 mm accuracy — flat, vertical, U-bend & twist bending for copper and aluminium busbars up to 200 × 15 mm

What is the JFY MB40 Series Busbar Bending Machine?

The JFY MB40 Series is a high-precision servo-driven CNC busbar bending machine designed for the accurate forming of copper and aluminium busbars into complex profiles required by switchgear, transformer, and electrical panel manufacturers. Unlike conventional hydraulic busbar benders, the MB40 uses a servo motor main drive paired with an electronic angle measurement and compensation system to achieve a repeatable bending accuracy of ±0.2 mm across all bending modes..

The MB40 supports four bending types from a single machine: flat bending, vertical bending, twist bending, and U-shaped bending — covering virtually every busbar geometry encountered in MCC panels, PCC panels, busducts, transformer terminals, and power distribution boards. Its comprehensive built-in software enables individual part programming, automatic nesting, and full batch production management, making it easy to operate even for first-time users.

Sold in India by Phillips Machine Tools with local commissioning and on-site service support.

Frequently Asked Questions

A busbar bending machine is a precision industrial machine used to form copper and aluminium busbars into angular or shaped profiles for use in electrical switchgear, transformers, power distribution panels, and control cabinets. The JFY MB40 Series supports flat bending, vertical bending, twist bending, and U-shaped bending — all with ±0.2 mm accuracy via servo motor CNC control.

The JFY MB40 Series performs four types of busbar bends: (1) Flat bending — up to 125 × 10 mm (W × T); (2) Vertical bending — up to 200 × 15 mm (W × T); (3) Twist bending — for angular offset bus connections; (4) U-shaped bending — with 60 mm internal width (optional). All modes are software-programmable with automatic angle compensation.

servo busbar bending machine (like the JFY MB40) uses an electric servo motor for the main bending drive, offering adjustable speed control (0–13 mm/s), lower energy consumption, faster return speeds (50 mm/s), and superior angle repeatability (±0.2 mm). A conventional hydraulic busbar bending machine uses fluid pressure for the bending force — simpler in construction but typically less precise and slower to respond. The MB40’s servo drive is the preferred choice for high-accuracy, high-repeatability busbar fabrication.

The JFY MB40 can vertically bend busbars up to 200 mm wide × 15 mm thick. For flat bending (optional attachment), the maximum size is 125 mm wide × 10 mm thick. U-shaped bending supports a 60 mm internal width. These capacities cover the majority of copper and aluminium busbar sizes used in switchgear and power distribution panels.

Yes. The JFY MB40 busbar bending machine and JFY MP50 busbar punching machine are complementary machines that together form a complete busbar fabrication line. The MP50 handles punching, cutting, and embossing; the MB40 handles all bending operations. Together they eliminate the need for a 3-in-1 machine in high-volume production environments and allow parallel processing of different busbar operations simultaneously.
