For Roush Yates, downtime was enemy #1. Not anymore.
After sending their techs for Haas training, the engine company for NASCAR saw an immediate drop in downtime.
“The class paid for itself after one repair. I didn’t have to call a tech, and the machine was up and running the next day,” said Jeff Smith, Roush Yates Maintenance Supervisor.
As for sending his techs away for a few days of training, it was worth it.
“It’s better for us to have a tech gone for training than pay for lost production due to downtime,” Smith said.
