Empowering the Warfighter: Phillips Corporation Showcases Advanced Expeditionary Manufacturing at Trident Warrior 2025
San Diego, CA – August 2025 — Phillips Corporation, Federal Division, proudly participated in Trident Warrior 2025, a premier global military technology exercise held at U.S. Naval Air Station North Island. Hosted by the Naval Postgraduate School Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing Research and Education and FLEETWERX. The event brought together military leaders, technologists, and defense innovators to explore the next generation of mission-enabling capabilities across the maritime domain.
As a trusted partner to the U.S. Government in advanced manufacturing, Phillips demonstrated its field-ready innovation by deploying multiple Additive Hybrid systems with Meltio technology. These included a TM-1 integrated into a containerized Army RFAB unit, a UMC-1250 with Meltio, and a TM-0 with Meltio aboard the USS Somerset (LPD-25). All platforms were equipped for rapid, on-demand metal part production in expeditionary environments.
These Laser Wire Metal Deposition (LW-DED) systems, seamlessly integrated into Haas CNC platforms, represent a breakthrough in hybrid manufacturing for defense applications. During the exercise, Phillips’ technology demonstrated the ability to reduce downtime, increase self-sufficiency, and deliver mission-critical parts at the point of need — directly enhancing Warfighter readiness and operational resilience.
