Course Description 

This 3-day course covers Haas Mill Set-up or Lathe Set-up and Operation and prepares the student to operate Haas Milling or Lathe Machines. Our Haas set up & operations class will teach you how to set up your machine, including your work-holding, loading material safely in your machine, and running the machining processes and program needed to cut your 1st part, in this “hands-on” course. 

Our instructor will teach each student how to perform a proper Machine Set-up, load and select NC programs, and will cover all aspects of entering Tool & Work Offset data. We teach you how to navigate the screens and pages of your CNC Control and help you gain mastery of your machining processes, as you set up parts and cut your first chips.  The focus will be on learning how to safely and efficiently set up a Haas Mill or Lathe with hands-on demonstrations and machining practice. 

Phillips instructors are Haas Certified Applications Engineers and are experts in all aspects of the Haas machine control system, CAM/Conversational programming methods, and machine/software configuration. Successful completion of this course prepares you to be a machine operator, who is trained and ready to operate the machine.
